Okay so the real story behind this comes from a Swedish Christmas tradition called Santa Lucia. Legend has it that there was a girl who would serve food while wearing candles on her head. Always a blonde girl around the age 13. Lutheran churches sometimes have a special ceremony dedicated to Santa Lucia almost like winning miss America lol I had been her 1 year and it was fun only they stopped using real candles after one girl got severely burned. Try googling it for a real story.
